DEPUTY HALL MANAGER/BEADLE – THE COMPANY OF CUTLERS IN HALLAMSHIRE

The Cutlers’ Company was formed by Act of Parliament in 1624 to control the quality of Cutlery being produced in the Sheffield Region. It has evolved since then and its function now is to promote and support manufacturing Industry in the Sheffield City Region. It has some 370 Freemen (Members) who have to be manufacturers on joining.
The Company is based in Cutlers’ Hall in the Centre of Sheffield. The Hall is also a commercial events venue.
The Company is seeking a suitable individual as Deputy Hall Manager/Beadle. This is a full time post. His/her principal tasks are to support and deputise for the Beadle/Hall Manager including as Health and Safety officer. There is a ceremonial aspect to the job acting as Master of Ceremonies for some Company events and as Mace Bearer on occasion. A more detailed Job description is available if required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS.
The Salary is £20,000 per annum. Reviewed in December each year. A bonus scheme is in place.
A rent free flat is available in the Hall which may be occupied under licence.
It is anticipated that candidates for the job will be interviewed in early July 2019.
